| Administrative Help-Guatemalan Office | | Three years ago, when this ministry began, our board made it a priority to have good bookkeeping records. We wanted our donors and the government to know exactly where the donated funds were being used. Each year as our opportunities for ministry have expanded, it has been necessary for me to spend more time keeping records and less time with the ministry. | | On February 1, 2008, we hired a Guatemalan for the position of Office Administrator. His name is Carlos Morales and he is a leader a | | | | at the local church that we attend in Coban. He has spent a lot of his free time as a volunteer helping us in many different ways. We are very thankful to have him join us now as a full time paid employee. He has been taking English classes for several years and is now learning to translate his language of Spanish in to English. He will be used greatly with our US mission teams and in many other facets of the ministry. | | Carlos’s presence will allow me to concentrate more on our mission outreach here. He has a desire to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes. He has been on a couple of short-term foreign mission trips and has helped with the “Maximum Mission” outreaches in different parts of Guatemala and Central America. He believes that God is preparing him to be a full time missionary to be sent out from his local church. He will get a lot of good training and this will carry out our organization’s Mission & Vision by helping raise up Guatemalans for the kingdoms work. | Back to Current Events Home |
